A portable reloading stand is a convenient tool for the hunter who reloads his own ammunition. A basic but durable portable reloading stand can be easily built from a few pieces of lumber and a hand-operated loading press. Use the hammer and 3-inch nails to fasten the two 6-inch-long 2-by-6 boards vertically to one face of the 12-inch-long 2-by-8 board at one end of it.
2Fasten the 10-inch-long 2-by-8 board to the end where you placed the 6-inch-long 2-by-6 boards. Use the hammer and nails to fasten this board to the end of the 12-inch-long 2-by-8 board.
3Attach with the hammer and nails the two 10-inch-long 2-by-6 boards to the two 6-inch-long 2-by-6 boards and to the sides of the 12-inch-long 2-by-8 underneath the 2-by-6 boards. Make sure that the 10-inch 2-by-6 boards are flush with the 10-inch 2-by-8 on the end of the 12-inch 2-by-8. This will make a reinforced open-top 6-inch-square box at one end of the 12-inch-long 2-by-8.
4Secure the 6-inch-long 2-by-8 board to the tops of the two 6-inch-long 2-by-6's. Do this by driving 3-inch nails through the top of the 6-inch 2-by-8 and into the 2-by-6's. This secures the top of the reloading stand into place.
5Tighten down the clamps of the hand-operated loading press onto the top of the reloading stand. The portable reloading stand is now completed and can be moved and operated by hand wherever you desire.
