Black permanent markers are useful for craft projects but easily bleed through paper, and can leave a mark on your wood. While the word "permanent" applies to paper as it quickly absorbs the marker it is less true for other surfaces. The key to effectively removing a marker stain from a wood table is by acting quickly to remove the stain, as the longer the stain is allowed to sit the harder it is to remove. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
- 1
Dispense a a drop of toothpaste directly onto the marker stain.
2Wet the toothbrush, and brush the stain in a circular motion.
3Allow the toothpaste to sit on the stain for two to three minutes, and brush the stain again with the toothbrush.
4Dampen the cleaning cloth, and wipe the toothpaste from the table.
5Rinse the spot on the table, and blot the wet spot to remove excess moisture.
